Nightmares

If a dream source is trying to get your attention, they may
resort to shock tactics. Nightmares are usually aborted dreams where we did not
get the full message. Nightmares are often recurring for this reason.
Being chased is a common theme – ask yourself, why am I
running? What am I running from? What part of myself am I running from? The
most important step when confronting the issue causing nightmares is to stay
with the dream.
Here are some tips on staying with the dream.
1.
Dialogue with your fears.
Ask yourself – what is blocking me? Why am
I afraid to finish the dream?
2.
Dialogue with the Dream adversary
Ask what is menacing you – who are you?
What are you doing in my dreams? What are you trying to tell me?
3.
Rescript the role of your dream self.
Ask yourself what would happen if you
changed you attitudes and actions in the dream?
4.
Dream the dream onward.
Imagine the dream unfolding beyond your
waking point. You may be able to change
the outcome by calling on guides. Often you need to take action in outer
reality as well as your dreamscape.
5.
Invoke allies – ask for help!
You may discover dream adversaries are
actually your dream guides.

to go back inside it and face up to our fears

friends and helpers.
